I have had a long past few weeks, and shit did it suck. I have become increasingly more aware of the activities in the RLSH community as of late, and they seem fairly stagnant. The lot of them have dropped off doing their own thing, and poor Zimmer had his arm broken from being hit by a car. That does not bode well when a president is struck down. I read about the incident thanks to the facebook page for Real life superheroes, and I must say that sucks. I wish him well and a speedy recovery. But onto more important matters, that of masks and media. More and more are garnering attention in their community, and it begs the question, when is someone going to be stupid enough to actually start escalating this? When will the literal Supervillains start going out and commiting criminal acts in strange get-ups?
Eventually someone is going to get the idea and take it to the next level: A group of men in elaborate masks and costumes with their own gear robbing a bank, or holding a store up, or just commiting random acts of vandalism. These are the things that need to be taken into consideration as these "heroes" begin to be recognized more. How long until someone copies the mask of one of them and commits a crime, resulting in false accusations, and serious trouble for RLSH as a whole? Criminals have been wearing masks for a long time to commit their dastardly deeds, all that is missing is that next step into the theatrics. The escalation. All I know is in reality, it is just a matter of time before our world really does begin to resemble the comics.
