Indiscriminate Discrepencies

The RLSH community, as I'm sure you are aware is a small organization of attention seekers. I know, I know, not all of you are out for glory, fame or fortune, but the simple fact remains that you are. Despite what you claim you want to acheive and what you claim to do, most of you are still out there for some form of attention either from criminals or the media, now I must beat this severely dead horse by asking the questions, why the need for costumes or uniforms at all? Why can't you simply wear a bulletproof vest under civilian clothing and accomplish the same amount of "work" you claim to do? Doesn't that seem like a grasping for some sort of distinction among a sea of people playing dress up? Creating elaborate names and alias' to hide some identity as if they are a high profile celebrity.
One must consider the psychological standing of people so much more focused on their get-ups than on getting any real good done. If I have to see another costume change from these so called heroes i just might scream. Batman and even the X-Men haven't had this many costume changes and they have been around 40 years and longer. I am not here to debate the ideas of wearing a costume or the factors included in roaming the streets looking for trouble, but I am here to simply debate the intentions of those engaging in such activity. I personally believe that citizens standing up for themselves is a noble cause, as well as assisting in community events, all forms of charity, and anything else involved with it, but I do not believe that posting something to that degree is noble or heroic, I am here to put showboaters in their place.
To brag about charitous acts is just disgusting and horrible. Simply posting the stories (cause thats what I think of them as) to show that you are even truly engaging in it is such a sad predicament. If you were truly urban mercenaries or vigilantes or even crime fighters, why would you put yourselves out there on social networking sites such as myspace or facebook? I don't remember Batman ever having a myspace page that he would post his blogs on about how he stopped the Joker or the Penguin, so why should you continue to plaster the internet with your accomplishments? Or the Avengers posting an event on Facebook when their next meeting is going to be. I have never seen so many people pat themselves on the back as often as they do, and for what? To give some meaning to their otherwise meaningless lives? Just remember the more you talk about yourself, the more you come across as egotists, and embellishers. Stand up and separate yourself from the crowd, be a true warrior, guardian, avenger, or whatever you want to call yourself, let yourself become a true legend by allowing your actions to speak for you, not your myspace page.

  1. Virus,

Welcome to the Blogs of Evil. Here you may choose to find a community of Evil individuals seeking to define Villainy for the future. Spectrums of Order, Chaos, Fear, and Insanity, await you, and areas as yet uncharted.

May all your plots be hatched with brilliance and success,

  2. And Fun! One forgot to mention Fun. There is a stalwart contingent of Shadowy Malevolent figures who enjoy the whimsy that can be found in Evil well done.

    My apologies for this oversite,

  3. This is exactly, EXACTLY, what I've been talking about.

I could hug you right now.

I'm not sure if you'd want to hug me, though. As a goggle-bedecked derivative of costumed derivatives, I'm exactly guilty of the same "Look at me I'm special I have a costume" antics, no matter how satirically I pose.

Oh but how I do LOVE goggles...

  4. i cant blame you, i like goggles as well. The intention of posing as an opposite means that you do not have to worry about the ironies of costume adornment. So a hug i will take, but that has always been my first issue with RLSH.
