Again, Websters, the most commonly used dictionary in the United States of A, states, and again I quote...
1 a : morally reprehensible : sinful, wicked
2 a archaic : inferior b : causing discomfort or repulsion : offensive
3 a : causing harm : pernicious
and for definition 2.....
1 a : the fact of suffering, misfortune, and wrongdoing b : a cosmic evil force
2 : something that brings sorrow, distress, or calamity
Now I will address each of those in point. 1) Morally reprehensible, there it is again that word morality, a set code of conduct, okay, that is a fairly understood term here, so lets move on reprehensible, ok that means something deserving condemnation or BLAME, especially as wrong or harmful. Now does that mean that it automatically means vile acts, violence and murder? NO. But are those actions a part of evil, yes, does that make them alright? NO. 2) Causing discomfort or reulsion, okay well I think we have that covered pretty well already. But again, nowhere in it does it say or allude directly to violence. 3) Causing harm, once again, an open term. It does not say causing harm through physical actions that would be deemed violent, it does not say to take another mans life, so again you idiots out there are wrong.
Onto set of definitions 2. The act of suffering, misfortune or wrongdoing. Here is where you thick headed people think you have me, but oh how wrong you are. Guess what, wrongdoing means an evil, look at that, there evil is again, or improper behavior or action. Again what is deemed proper behavior, brushing your teeth is proper behavior and actions, so by not brushing your teeth that would make one evil. The bad breath would be evil, but that would mean that this person is also a violent individual that condones murder by your standards simply because the term evil can be applied to them. Suffering, to submit or be forced to endure, to put up with as inevitable or unavoidable, to allow by reason of indifference. None of those involve violence directly, but as part of such. Again you are wrong.
Calamity, well there is hope for you guys yet, a state of deep distress or misery caused by major misfortune or loss, or a disastrous event marked by great loss and lasting distress and suffering, ooh theres another one of the magic words. Now again, this is open to interpretation, because I see calamity as dropping a dozen eggs on the ground and having to go out to the store again to get a new set even though I do not have much money. Or calamity can be the loss of my car keys, because it causes me deep distress and lasting suffering until I find them. Open to interpretation.
Now onto the point at hand. Using this simple term that has become so easily generalized, and sadly through a lack of education and research many nemeses to those that are RLSV have tried to manipulate and bring about fear using the term, claiming that we as a whole represent all forms of evil and that we approve all forms of violence and forms of torture and threats. Where as many months and some longer have shown that is completely untrue of a statement. Many villains claim to use satire in their work, to bring out the ridiculousness of the RLSH, but when they do speak words of truth, the RLSH do not seem to grasp that there can be deeper truths behind the jokes.
That just because one says to not take certain things seriously which they write, and which can obviously be pointed out what parts are not, does not mean the entire argument is negated because you lack the brain capacity to determine what is meant as truth and what is meant as a joke. Look at South Park, they have great messages in their episodes, but do you sit there and take it as is? Take it as one big joke and miss the bigger picture? If you do, then you are one hell of a fucking imbecile. Using the gift of intelligence that we have, the cognitive ability to decipher deeper meanings out of our world should be utilized and absolutely used on a regular basis if not all the time, otherwise we are nothing more than a bunch of warring creatures that run around chopping each others heads off because they feel offended or confused by anothers statements because we took everything too fucking serious.
Or we write each other off because it is easier that way than to think about ourselves and what is wrong with what it is we do, and try and improve ourselves. This is implied for everyone involved in either side of the "communities." Being the villain means that you are in opposition of another side or to their beliefs. So in that case I guess the Dallas Cowboys are villains to the Philadelphia Eagles. They are evil and villainous in a lot of ways too, they are a constant nemesis to them and preventing them from winning on countless occasions and for many many years. So them being evil in a text book stance, as well as through their actions, causing adversity, distress, suffering, misfortune, calamity, and sorrow, so again by your standards, they also advocate violence, and murder in it's forms simply because of your definition of evil. By all default they are the textbook definition of evil. You cannot generalize a term to suit your needs, that is known as propaganda, and who used that for years, oh yeah a little guy known as Adolf Hitler, and he used it to end up killing millions of people in the name of good, all because of personal bias, but then again, he was also evil, hmm, interesting. The world is not as black and white as we thought. Think about what you want to say before you say it, make educated statements before you end up looking like even bigger douches. Stick that in your pie hole and choke on it. And again disclaimer, because none of you seem to know what sarcasm is, I DO NOT MEAN FOR ACTUALLY CHOKING OR DEATH TO COME UPON ANYONE, IT WAS FIGURATIVE, A METAPHORICAL STATEMENT.

P.S. I apologize for the length.
Virus,
ReplyDeleteVery well done. One points out that all throughout history "good" has been the justification for some of the greatest acts of inhumanity imaginable.
An opportunity here is that if you stop thinking about doing what's good, and started thinking about what's right, there might be valuable insights to be gained. If you can't help everyone, then help someone. If you do this, then you are Evil for having not helped everyone - for leaving some to suffer. But what if you accept that? Good may be diminished by a fear to act, when Villainy holds no such fear.
Just some thoughts - really, we're all creating Villainy as we contribute, and one thanks you for your fine effort on this.
Keep up the Evil (thought provoking) work,

Agreeing with ML, this is indeed a fantastic article with a very well-thought out delivery. Will the asshats read and understand it? Only time will tell.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is NO.
Providing such an intelligent and witty speculation into this topic I can say you are always indeed welcome on my show.
Brilliant!
